What to Expect on the Inspection Visit
The structural inspection typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. A Seattle Foundation Pros specialist arrives in a marked truck with a digital laser level, a tape measure with reference plumb-bob, a moisture meter, a high-lumen LED headlamp, and a camera. They walk the entire foundation interior and exterior, photograph every crack, cold joint, foundation wall, and visible drainage condition. They measure wall displacement and take floor elevations at multiple points across the home. Then they sit down with you for 15-20 minutes and walk you through what they found.
What to Have Ready
To make the inspection visit as efficient as possible, please have ready: a rough idea of when the home was built, whether you have any prior structural reports or engineering documentation, any quotes you’ve already received from other companies (we provide free second-opinion reviews), and clear access to the basement, crawlspace, and exterior foundation perimeter.
